In the midst of the trials of life, it is difficult to believe in such a notion. However, it is in the midst of the trials of life when an answer is desperately sought. How many have heard the words ‘you have cancer’, ‘I want a divorce’, ‘we are foreclosing’, ‘you are being let go’, 'news from the battle field is not good', ‘we did everything but we couldn’t save your loved one’ and the list goes on. After hearing such words, is it possible to believe in a majestic purpose in life? Not without faith. God uses all things to the good of those that love Him. Who loves God? Those that obey his commands. Only those that love God with all of their soul and who love others as they love themselves will find the majestic purpose in life.

In 2012, times were tough in Worthington, Virginia. Many doubted the existence of a majestic purpose in life. In town, unemployment touched one in fifteen families due to a lasting economic recession. More importantly, some families had lost loved ones in the war on terror. However, these that live in the shadow of Purple Mountain would soon discover that they were not alone in their experiences. They were soon to discover new friends and their stories of faith, hope and love. However, friendship would not come without one simple but nearly impossible thing... Faith!

“Faith the size of a mustard seed could keep a mountain from being moved” believed Anson. The question was ... did others believe it?

It was the spring of 2012. In Worthington, a small town located in the mountains of southwest Virginia, people were restless and unsettled due to a struggling economy and the wounding of war.  People were out of work and businesses were closing. People had lost their faith and hope was fading fast.  Rumors of a significant local economic revival were whispering in the winds of this small mining community.  An announcement from the Mayor and local community leaders was expected to occur after the welcome home parade for Iraq war veterans.

On Purple Mountain, it was believed by some that this was to be the last season for the city owned golf course, the Majestic. It was soon to be destroyed along with the peaks of Purple Mountain. Not if Anson and the Minutemen had anything to say about it! Unlike the townspeople, they still had faith. They know of its secrets, mysteries and majestic purposes. They remember what many in town have forgotten… 

The letters from the Greenskeeper are real.   

Over the years, there were rumors about the mysterious letters of the Greenskeeper. Many believed he wrote them to families of killed in action soldiers. Some believed he was well intentioned, others believed that he was honorable and many believed he was insane. What no one expected was that they were soon to discover the truth about the Greenskeeper of the Majestic of Purple Mountain…
